Kashmir solidarity day will be observed tomorrow across the country including Azad Jammu and Kashmir and Gilgit-Baltistan in a befitting manner to pay homage to Kashmiri martyrs.
The day will be observed to express solidarity with the people of Occupied Kashmir in their struggle for freedom from Indian subjugation. One minute silence will be observed at 10:00 am in the honour of Kashmiri martyrs. The federal and provincial governments‚ and the governments of Azad Jammu and Kashmir and Gilgit-Baltistan have made special arrangements to observe the day . A joint session of AJK Assembly and Kashmir council will be held tomorrow in Muzaffarabad to show solidarity with Kahsmiri people. Human chains would be formed at various bridges connecting Azad Kashmir with Pakistan to express total solidarity. Kashmir convention will be held in the afternoon at the convention centre, Islamabad. The day is being observed in Pakistan since 1990 for highlighting the struggle of Kashmiris for their birth right to self-determination.
