National Institute of Lasers and Optronics Islamabad is affiliated with Pakistan institute of engineering and applied sciences PIEAS Islamabad, Now starts taking admission application for PhD in Laser and semiconductor physics.

National Institute of Lasers and Optronics Islamabad carries out research and development in lasers and laser based technologies and offer PhD admissions for spring 2024 in following edges areas:

Laser Spectroscopy

Bio photonics

Micro / nano fabrication

Met material and plasmonics

Laser cooling and trapping of atoms

Optical interferometry and sensors

Quantum optics and Quantum computing

Femto second lasers and ultra-short pulses

Micro electro mechanical systems

Thin film growth and characterization

Terahertz photonics

Eligibility Criteria:

18 years of education in related discipline

Physics

Mathematics

Electronics

With minimum CGPA 3.0/4.0 in M.Phil / MS /Equivalent from HEC recognized university.

Performance will be given to first class academic career however one second division is allowed expect in the final degree.

Valid GAT subject test conducted by National Testing Service NTS.

Candidates must be submitted their application through proper channel.

 Application Procedure:

Download admission application form from www.nilop.edu.pk accompanied with attested copies transcript degree/ certificate / 3 passport size photographs a nonrefundable bank draft or pay order of Rs. 2000/- in the name of head NILOP and NOC .

Only shortlisted candidates will be called for test and interview; they are advised to bring CNIC original academic certificate thesis / reports and copy of publications. If any at the time of interview.
