News update: 22 March 2024: Punjab Government of Pakistan announced the Electric Bike Loan Scheme for the students of Punjab Domicile holders. the Students having valid College University Identity card can apply online for Electric Bike and Petrol bike Under Punjab government scheme.
The College University students can get Bike Loan from Banks. the chief minister of Punjab Maryam Nawaz sharif has approved the Punjab E bike and petrol bike scheme officially in punjab. the monthly installment is set for E-bike is Rs 10,000/- (Pakistani Rupees) and for Petrol Bike Rs. 5000/- (Pakistani Rupees) per month.
The Total twenty thousand (20,000) Bikes will be distributed among the students as per announcement by Chief minister of Punjab Maryam Nawaz Sharif. The Total 1000 bikes will be Electric Bikes and nineteen thousand (19000) petrol bikes is under distribution for students.

The online application process is not completed yet, but CM Maryam Nawaz sharif already approved the scheme, as per the source the online application will be open from start of May 2024. The schedule of receiving bike applications is under process.
the students can avail electric bikes and petrol bikes loan from the national bank of pakistan NBP without any interest. The down payment will be reduced to Rs. 25,000/- per bike.
the allocation of 70% of the Quota is designated for male students and 30 percent Quota is reserved for female students.

The priority will be given to the students with permanent residence in rural areas for the distribution of the electric and petrol bikes.
Payment Details
The down payment Rs. 20,000/- (student is Responsible)
Monthly Installment for Petrol Bike will be approximately Rs. 5,000/- per Month
Monthly Installment for Electric Bikes will be approximately Rs. 10,000/- Per month
Punjab BOP Bank is responsible for accepting applications after initial approval, the students have to pay Rs. 20,000/- to buy the motorbike, after that the monthly instalments will be Rs. 5000 to 10,000 almost for two years.
The markup will be bear by government of punjab.

Monthly Installment for Female students: 7,325/-

Eligibility Criteria
The students having 18 Years of age (both male and female students)
The Student is regular student of any University of Punjab.
The student must have motorcycle learning / permit licence.

How to Apply Online for E-Bike:
The Government of Punjab starts taking online applications through bikes.punjab.gov.pk. The students having motorbike licence can submit registration form online.
